Jose Machado
José Machado is an Investment Research Associate at ICW. Prior to ICW, he worked at Expanding Capital, a US-based Public Equities and Venture Capital firm focused on growth investments. There, he gained broad exposure across the investment process and fund building, from structuring trade ideas and valuation models to developing monitoring systems and analyzing macroeconomic dynamics. His first professional experience was a summer role as a Risk and Software Analyst at Bahia Asset, a leading Brazilian hedge fund, combining risk, technology, and market perspectives that continue to shape his approach.
Founder of his college’s venture builder and an entrepreneurship enthusiast, he feels privileged to be building ICW alongside a team defined by intellectual honesty, rigor, and long-term thinking. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of São Paulo, LATAM’s top university.
